A chill shot up Cecilia Evans's spine.

A thick, coppery taste flooded her throat.

She fought back the nausea, reaching out to steady Aaron Truman beside her.

Aaron swayed as she touched him.

His vision swam with dark spots.

He jerked his head up, looking forward.

The next second, he bent over and vomited.

He remembered something and turned to look at the dining table.
