Chapter 760

Three hundred and thirty-six thousand...

Even for a rich heir, few would squander money so recklessly.

At the very least, Sebastian Truman and Mia Truman had never spent like this.

The Truman family had always valued discretion, unlike those ostentatious businessmen who flaunted their wealth. They never showed off.

This was also why Liam Cooper had never been able to figure out Mia's true background.

In Liam's eyes, Mia was just a moderately well-off heiress. Her family ran a bar and owned a small company. Nothing special.

Although she usually drove a sports car, that car wasn't shockingly expensive.

What irked him even more was that many businessmen who came here spent millions easily, yet Mia's tab never exceeded a limit of two hundred thousand per visit.

A mocking smile curled at the corner of his mouth.

Chloe Raymond spoke up first. "Of course we're sure! That amount might be astronomical to you, but it's just pocket change for Young Master Cooper!"

"Exactly! A servant asking all these questions, how annoying!"

"Why are you still standing there? The young master gave the order! You look so stupid just standing there!"

Mia's gaze remained fixed on Liam.

Liam waved a dismissive hand. "Go on."

Only then did Mia nod. "Fine. You're the one who ordered it."

She turned sharply and walked toward the bar.

Her steps grew more determined, but her back carried a desperate, lonely resolve.

She reached the bar and spoke directly to the manager. "Open those two reserve bottles for them."

The manager was taken aback. "Miss Truman, are you sure? The Truman family rule is that your tab can't exceed two hundred thousand..."

The wine was indeed excellent, and the bar had more than just those two bottles.

If a regular customer ordered them, of course they could be opened.

But Mia's tab limit was only two hundred thousand at a time. What should he do?

As the manager was worrying, Mia let out a scornful laugh. "Who said it's going on my tab?"

The manager froze. "What?"

Mia's eyes shifted to Liam. "Whoever ordered the wine pays for it!"

The manager followed her gaze and understood instantly. He nodded eagerly. "Understood, Miss Truman!"

The manager was genuinely excited.

Mia was a higher-level owner than the Zhao family...

Even the Zhao family members never acted so arrogantly when they came to drink. But every time Mia brought this Liam Cooper, this 'Young Master Cooper' would put on airs and pretend to be rich, only to have the bill charged to Mia's name in the end.

He had long disliked this guy!

What a piece of work! Hitching a ride with their young miss, not only not treating her with respect, but constantly trying to dominate her. And yet, Miss Truman always happily played the fool... Ahem!

The manager cut off his thoughts and immediately turned to the back. He retrieved the two bottles of red wine and personally followed Mia, bringing them to the booth.

Mia stood before Liam.

The manager spoke. "Young Master Cooper, these two bottles have been decanted. Shall I pour them now?"

Liam immediately said, "Sure, pour them now."

The manager stepped forward to pour.

But Liam raised a hand. "Wait."

He pointed at Mia. "You pour for all of us."

Silence fell over the scene.

Mia stared at Liam in disbelief, finding it utterly absurd and laughable.

A flame of anger surged in her heart...

Looking at Liam's shameless face, she even began to wonder how she had been so blind back then to have fallen for him?

She scoffed. "Liam Cooper, don't push your luck!"

Chloe immediately chimed in shrilly. "How is Liam pushing his luck? It's an honor for you to pour wine for him!"

"Exactly! Have you ever even seen wine this expensive before? Touched it? Or are you too scared by the price to dare touch it?"

"So low-class! Can't even pour tea and water properly for Young Master Cooper. Young Master, why keep someone like this? I think you should just fire her!"

"..."

The group chattered, fanning the flames. Liam listened, his expression growing darker.

He stared at Mia, as if to firmly establish his authority, and pressed again. "Are you going to pour or not!"

Mia clenched her fists.

She sneered. "No."

Liam abruptly stood up. "Fine! You're the one who doesn't know what's good for you!"

Chloe beside him immediately played the peacemaker. "Liam, come on. It's such a happy occasion today. Don't let a servant ruin the mood... If she won't pour, just forget it, okay?"

Seeing this, the manager hurriedly stepped forward to pour wine for everyone. Since the young miss hadn't given any further instructions, he didn't know what else to say.

Chloe shook Liam's arm. "Come on, try this excellent wine!"

"Wow, it really is different!"

"A single sip of mine must cost tens of thousands, right?"

"Am I drinking wine or liquid gold?"

The group fawned over Liam, making Mia sneer once more.

She looked directly at the manager. "They've drunk the wine. Go print out the bill and bring it here."

"Yes, Miss."

The manager turned to leave, but Mia stopped him. "Also, call a few people over. Someone thinks they can dine and dash. Our bar isn't to be trifled with!"

The manager's eyes lit up. "Yes, Miss!"

He had long disliked this Liam Cooper. Now he finally had a chance to teach him a proper lesson!

Today, he would definitely help the young miss get back all the grievances she had suffered over the past three and a half years, with interest!

He would make Liam Cooper understand clearly that their young miss was not someone he could manipulate at will!
