Chapter 835

That evening, Evelyn told Alexander about the matter.

After listening, Alexander simply responded with a quiet "I see" and said nothing more.

Evelyn thought he had given up.

The next day, Mason arrived.

He directly handed her two tickets.

Evelyn took one and looked at the other. "And this one?"

Mason adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses. "I'm going with you."

Evelyn was slightly taken aback.

Mason explained, "You are Grace, but there are many things you don't know. While you can say you have no memory after leaving the Sterling Family at three, I've been the one maintaining contact with them all these years. Only with my help can you pass undetected."

He paused, then added, "You're going this time to find Grace's account password, right?"

Evelyn didn't deny it.

Mason continued, "The final grand competition requires ticket verification. The Sterling Family also fears the heir being swapped, so the final stage requires both account password and DNA verification. You and Grace are identical twins, so your DNA similarity is high. But only your adoptive mother knows the account password."

Evelyn was silent for a moment. "Can guardians board the ship?"

Mason nodded. "Yes."

Evelyn took a deep breath. "Alright."

She looked down at the ticket in her hand.

It was a cruise ticket for a trans-European voyage, requiring a fifteen-day journey at sea.

Evelyn asked, "Roughly where do we disembark?"

Mason said, "We wait for the Sterling Family's notification. I have a satellite phone to contact them anytime. As for you, once on board, you cannot carry any communication devices."

Evelyn nodded and asked another question. "Are all the heirs on the same ship?"

Mason shook his head. "Of course not."

Evelyn breathed a sigh of relief.

If they were all on the same ship, someone would probably find a way to sink it...

Just as this thought crossed her mind, Mason spoke up. "About a hundred years ago, there was indeed a situation where all heirs were on the same ship. Someone sank it. Fortunately, the Sterling Family had people nearby for support. But even so, the number of Sterling Family heirs dropped from over a hundred to just over a dozen. The rest all drowned. Since then, each heir boards at a different location, on different cruise ships. No one knows which ship is yours."

Evelyn raised an eyebrow. "That sunken ship... it wasn't the Titanic, was it?"

Mason: "..."

He ignored her quip and continued, "You can bring anything when boarding. Tell your family you're going on a trip. But once on board, you follow my instructions."

Evelyn nodded.

Mason was silent for another moment, then said, "After we reach the Sterling Family, you must also listen to me. No acting on your own. Can you do that? If not, even if you board the ship, I won't take you to the Sterling Family."

Only Mason could contact the Sterling Family.

Evelyn gave a slight, wry smile. "I'll be obedient. I only have one life. I don't want to lose it because I'm discovered as a fake."

Mason nodded and handed her a box of medicine.

Evelyn took it. "What's this?"

"You haven't had an episode recently, right? The iron-deficiency anemia is caused by this medication. Remember to take it on time."

Evelyn looked at the box of medicine and nodded resignedly. "Fine."

Mason stood up. "I'll go now. See you the day after tomorrow?"

The day after tomorrow was the boarding day.

Evelyn agreed.

After Mason left, she went upstairs, intending to placate Alexander, only to find him busy with work again.

Evelyn couldn't help but say, "You can't even go. Why are you so busy?"

Alexander looked up at her. "Who says I can't go?"

Evelyn was startled. "You have a way?"

"There are always more solutions than difficulties." Alexander smiled slightly and continued speaking into his computer. "You can say a few more words."

Evelyn was puzzled. "Say what?"

"Anything." Alexander coughed, took off his headphones, and unplugged the connector from his laptop. "They're all calling for you, sister-in-law. They want to hear you say a few words."

Evelyn then realized Alexander was in a video conference.

A group of people on the screen waved at her. "Hello, sister-in-law!"

Evelyn greeted them, shot Alexander a glare, and turned to enter the bedroom.

Half an hour later, Alexander finished the meeting and came in.

Evelyn immediately asked, "Alright, tell me. How do you plan to go to the Sterling Family with me?"

Alexander said calmly, "You said it yourself. Besides the approved son-in-law, only guardians can accompany an heir into the Sterling Family. I'm not an heir, so I'll have to be a guardian."

Evelyn was taken aback. "Whose guardian are you going to be?"

Alexander said, "Natalie Castillo's."

Evelyn was stunned.

Alexander explained, "I've already discussed it with her. Her guardian gave her the ticket. We need to board different ships and meet at the Sterling Family in the end. Evelyn, see you at the Sterling Family."
